Over the the course of the ATBA’s history there have been individuals who have given outstanding, dedicated service to the ATBA and the larger traditional community. An award has been created to recognize these individuals who have, over time, contributed strongly to the association’s furtherance and/or have been a member committed strongly to the broader cause of bowhunting. This individual is recognized by their peers, and exemplifies the association’s ethics of respect to fellow members and the wildlife we hunt. The ATBA wants to honor such individuals from our midst and express our deep gratitude. That honor will be through lifetime membership and a commemorative gift.
The award will be called the Jack Kempf Outstanding Service Award in honor of its first recipient, Jack Kempf, who embodies the intention of it through his outstanding contribution to the ATBA and the traditional bowhunting community.
The intent of this award is not to be annual. Future potential recipient names can be brought forth by fellow members with a supporting letter for consideration and the final nomination will rest with the ATBA executive.
